MINUTES CLEARLAKE CITY COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT SUCCESSOR AGENCY SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 2, 2012 CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT SUCCESSOR AGENCY MEETING: 8:00 A.M. Roll Call. Present: Jeri Spittler, Vice Mayor Judy Thein, Councilmember Curt Giambruno, Councilmember Joyce Overton, Councilmember Absent: Joey Luiz, Mayor Staff: Joan Phillipe, City Manager Craig Clausen, Chief of Police Melissa Swanson, City Clerk Doug Herren, Director of Public Works Robert W. Galusha, City Engineer BUSINESS 1. Authorization to purchase one marked 2011 Ford Crown Victoria; Resolution 2012-26 Chief Clausen gave the staff report. ACTION: It was moved by Council Member Overton and seconded by Council Member Thein to adopt Resolution No. 2012-26, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLEARLAKE AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE ONE (1) MARKED POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE, and read it by title only. The motion passed with a 4-0-1 voice vote, with Mayor Luiz absent. 2. Award of the Austin Park Curb, Gutter, Sidewalk and Bike Lane and Old Highway 53 Bike Lane Project Robert W. Galusha gave the staff report. ACTION: It was moved by Council Member Overton and seconded by Council Member Thein to award the bid to Granite Construction in the amount of $502,541.85. The motion passed with a 4- 0-1 voice vote, with Mayor Luiz absent. 3. Study Session on the Draft City of Clearlake Budget for Fiscal Year 2012-2013. Joan Phillipe gave the staff report. Council Member Overton left the meeting at 8:30 a.m. CCM 08-02-12 SPL Page 1 of 2 Vice Mayor Spittler called for a break from 9:10 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. There was no action taken by Council on this item.
