May 17, 2018
CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT SUCCESSOR AGENCY MEETING:
4:00 P.M.
Roll Call. Council Present: Bruno Sabatier, Mayor
Phil Harris, Vice Mayor
Nick Bennett, Councilmember
Russ Cremer, Councilmember
Joyce Overton, Councilmember
Staff: Greg Folsom, City Manager
Alan Flora, Director of Finance

CLOSED SESSION:
(1) PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT: pursuant to Government Code §54957 – Title: Police Chief
There was no reportable action taken by Council in closed session.
BUSINESS:
2. Consideration of Award of Contract for Design Services for the Burns Valley Civic Center
Enhancement Project
City Manager Folsom gave the staff report.
ACTION: It was moved by Councilmember Overton and seconded by Vice Mayor Harris to
authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with California Engineering Company in the
amount of $26,000 and authorize the City Manager to approve up to 10% in future contract
amendments. The motion passed with a unanimous roll call vote.
3. Consideration of the Plan for the Property Located at 3965 Mullen Ave.
Deputy City Clerk Viramontes gave the staff report.

ACTION: It was moved by Vice Mayor Harris and seconded by Councilmember Overton to
approve an offer for the property for $10,000 which will cover the cost of back taxes, provided
the property will be demolished and the rebuild will start within 90 days. The motion passed
with a unanimous voice vote.
4. Workshop for Preparation of the City’s Fiscal Year 2018-19 Budget
Director of Finance Flora gave the staff report.
ACTION: It was the consensus of the Council to bring forward a proposal of a Vehicle Leasing
Program with Enterprise. Suggestions were made on formatting and personnel which will come
forward at budget adoption.
ADJOURNMENT
There was no further business of the Council and the meeting was adjourned at 6:38 p.m.
