CITY OF CLEVELAND BEER BOARD MINUTES June 9, 2015 BE IT REMEMBERED THAT the City of Cleveland Beer Board held their monthly meeting on June 9, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Municipal Building. Present and presiding was Joe Kirkpatrick. Also present were board members Mark Smith, Ellie St. Pierre and Donald Humes. Bill Hobbs was absent from the meeting due to an illness. Others in attendance according to the sign-in sheet were Christy Bryant, Beer Board Secretary, Michael Warnock with CBC Cleveland, Ceasar Thomas with FIG Southern Bistro and City Attorney John Kimball. Mark Smith moved to accept the minutes of the regular session held on April 14, 2015 and approved them as written. The motion was seconded by Ellie St. Pierre; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. Mark Smith moved to accept the minutes of the adjourned session held on April 28, 2015 and approve them as written. The motion was seconded by Ellie St. Pierre; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. Mark Smith commended Chili’s Bar and Grill and the employees for following proper procedures in checking ID’s thoroughly before serving alcohol. Michael Warnock will be operating CBC Cleveland located at 185 Inman Street. He has met all of the requirements of the Beer Permit application. Upon review of the application, Mark Smith moved that the permit be approved. The motion was seconded by Ellie St. Pierre; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. Ceasar Thomas will be operating FIG Southern Bistro located at 4265 TL Rogers Street NW. He has met all of the requirements of the Beer Permit application. Upon review of the application and survey, Mark Smith moved that the permit be approved. The motion was seconded by Ellie St. Pierre; and upon roll call, unanimously passed. Mr. Thomas asked the Board what is the appropriate age an employee can serve beer. City Attorney John Kimball stated 18 years of age. Chairman Kirkpatrick reminded each applicant to properly check ID’s before allowing the sale of alcohol. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
