MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS TUESDAY, JUNE 9, 2015 AT 12:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was called to order by Charlotte Jones, Vice Chairman at 12:02 P.M. Members present included were Charlotte Jones, Dan Moore, Ed Brown and Clint Taylor. Members absent were Steve Wright. Staff included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Darla Jenkins, Administrative Assistant, Shawn McKay, Director of Finance/City Clerk and Brian Moran, Intern. Legal Counsel present was John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Others present was Joyanna Love of The Cleveland Daily Banner, and George McCoin representing Gray Epperson. Minutes from the May 12, 2015 regular meeting were presented for approval. Clint Taylor made a motion to approve and Dan Moore seconded the motion. A vote of 4-0 passed the motion. There were no Public Hearings. There was no Old Business. In New Business, a. Election of officers (pg1). Chairperson— Clint Taylor made a motion to nominate Charlotte Jones as Chairman for the Board of Zoning Appeals. Dan Moore seconded the motion. Voting 4-0, the motion passed. Vice Chairperson--- Clint Taylor made a motion to nominate Dan Moore as Vice Chairperson. Ed Brown seconded the motion. Voting 4-0, the motion passed. There is no secretary as that position is provided by staff. b. Request by Tricia Haws for a setback variance at 440 Centenary Ave NW (Tax Map 49L Group A Parcels 9.00) in the R1 zoning district (pg1). Clint Taylor made a motion to approve and Dan Moore seconded the motion. A vote of 4-0 passed the motion. c. Request by Gray Epperson for a setback variance at 620 Church St NE (Tax Map 49M Group D Parcels 17.00) in the PI zoning district (pg6). Dan Moore made a motion to approve and Clint Taylor seconded the motion. A vote of 4-0 passed the motion. There was no Staff Report. There was no Board Member Report. The meeting was adjourned at 12:05 P.M.
