MINUTES CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2016 AT 6:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission was called to order at 6:01 P.M. by Dee Burris, Chairman. Members present included Walt Vineyard, Clarke Taylor, Gary Dennis, Larry Presswood, George Poe, Tricia Pennington, Maryl Elliott and Dee Burris. Yvonne Cannon resigned on May 2, 2016. There were no members absent. Legal Counsel present was John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Staff members present included Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development and Engineering Services, Melinda Carroll, Assistant City Manager, Corey Divel, Senior Planner, and Darla Jenkins, Executive Secretary. The minutes of the April 19, 2016 meeting were presented for approval. Walt Vineyard made a motion to approve and Gary Dennis seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. There was no Public Hearing. There was no Consent Agenda. In Old Business, a. Consideration of a rezoning of approximately 6 acres of properties located on Victory Dr, Phillips St and Jacobs Ave from R4 Mobile Home Park Zoning District to MU Mixed Use (pg1). Maryl Elliott made a motion to approve and Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. In New Business, a. Request by Greg Calfee Builders, LLC preliminary plat/site plan of Linda Drive Townhomes. Property is located on Linda Dr and is zoned CH Commercial Highway Zoning District. Plat by Cleveland Surveying Company (pg7). Walt Vineyard made a motion to approve this item and George Poe seconded the motion. Voting 8-0, the commission passed the item. b. Consideration of a rezoning of approximately 13.95 acres, more or less, from IH Heavy Industrial Zoning District to CBD Central Business District Zoning District located downtown along Edwards St NE, Central Ave NE, Edwards St SE, Church St, 1st St SE, 2nd St SE, 3rd St SE and Euclid St SE (pg8). Clarke Taylor made a motion to approve and Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. c. Request by Joe Corn Stuart Estate to rezone approximately 18.5 acres, more or less, from CH Commercial Highway Zoning District to PUD Planned Unit Development Zoning District located on North Lee Hwy and Tasso Ln NE (Tax Map 34 Parcels 28.00, 57.02) (pg10). Larry Presswood made a motion to approve and Gary Dennis seconded the motion. The commission voted 8-0 to pass the motion. There was no Chairman’s Report. There was no Director’s Report. The meeting was adjourned at 6:19 P.M.
