MINUTES CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, APRIL 17, 2018 AT 6:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission was called to order by Dee Burris, Chairman, at 6:00 P.M. Members present included Maryl Elliott, Bill Hamilton, Dee Burris, David May, Clarke Taylor, Tricia Pennington, and Larry Presswood. Members absent included Gary Dennis and Walt Vineyard. Legal Counsel present included John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Staff present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development and Engineering Services, and Melinda Carroll, Assistant City Manager/Operations. Others present included Officer Brian Montgomery of the Cleveland Police Department, Ken Kirkpatrick, Mike Callaway, and Jeanne Johnson. The minutes of the March 20, 2018 regular meeting were present for approval. Maryl Elliott made a motion to approve and Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 7-0 passed the motion. There were no Public Hearings. There were no items on the Consent Agenda. There was no Old Business. In New Business, a. Request by Ted Moss for final plat approval of Ocoee Landing Townhomes, lots 34 & 35 located on Emmyllie Court and Pryor Dr. Property is zoned PUD5 Planned Unit Development Zoning District. Plat by Brown Surveying Company (pg1). David May, Jr. made a motion to approve subject to staff comments and Bill Hamilton seconded the motion. Dee Burris recused himself. The motion passed 6- 0 with one (1) recusal. b. Consideration of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance concerning the minimum lot size requirements within the Historic Overlay District (pg3). Maryl Elliott made a motion to deny the motion and Larry Presswood seconded the motion to deny. The commission voted 7-0 to deny this amendment. c. Consideration of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance concerning the allowable uses within the CN Neighborhood Commercial Zoning District (pg6). David May, Jr. made a motion to recommend approval of this item and Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 7-0 passed the motion. There was no Chairman’s Report. There was no Director’s Report. The meeting adjourned at 6:40 P.M.
