MINUTES CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 2018 AT 6:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission was called to order by Dee Burris, Chairman, at 6:00 P.M. Members present included Bill Hamilton, Dee Burris, David May, Jr., Gary Dennis, Clarke Taylor, Walt Vineyard, Maryl Elliott and Tricia Pennington. Members absent included Larry Presswood. Legal Counsel present included John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Staff present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner and Melinda Carroll, Assistant City Manager/Operations. Others present included Officer Brian Montgomery of the Cleveland Police Department and Tim Siniard of The Cleveland Daily Banner. The minutes of the May 15, 2018 meeting were presented for approval. David May, Jr. made a motion to approve and Walt Vineyard seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. The minutes of the June 6, 2018 meeting were presented for approval. David May, Jr. made a motion to approve and Gary Dennis seconded the motion. Tricia Pennington abstained from voting. A vote of 7-0-1 passed the motion. There were no Public Hearings. Consideration of a rezoning request by JTR Properties, LLC for approximately 1.97 acres of property (described as Tax Map 57C Group B Parcel 20.00) located at 717 South Lee Hwy and 919 Beard Circle SW from R2 Low Density Single and Multi-family Residential Zoning District to CH Commercial Highway Zoning District. David May, Jr. made a motion to approve and Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. b. Request by Dean Helsdon to change from one non-conforming use to another non-conforming use within the R2 Low Density Single and Multi-family Zoning District located on Wilson Ave and Aurora Ave SE (Map 57L Group S Parcels 6.00,7.00 & 10.01). Bill Hamilton made a motion to approve and Gary Dennis seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. c. Request by Larry and Lois Ann Taylor for application of infill standards for a property located on 5th St SE (Map 58H Group M Parcel 3.01). Clarke Taylor made a motion to approve and David May, Jr. seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. There was no Chairman’s Report. There was no Director’s Report.
