BOARD OF MANAGERS MEETING September 7, 2018 – 10:30 A.M. Common Council Chambers City Hall, Cohoes, NY The meeting was called to order at 10:30 A.M. PRESENT: Shawn Morse, Mayor Chris Briggs, Council President Michael Durocher, Comptroller Kenneth Radliff, Commissioner, OGS James Boucher, Treasurer Garry Nathan, City Engineer Also Present: Deborah Jacques, Executive Assistant Mayor Morse called the meeting to order at 10:30 am. Mayor Morse stated that the City has received quote from Owen Smith of the Park Playhouse to prepare the bid package for the light and sound updates to the Cohoes Music Hall. Kenneth Radliff made a motion to approve the proposal, Mike Durocher seconded the motion. All members voted “AYE”. The motion passed. Mayor Morse stated the next item for consideration is the letting of the bid for the lighting and sound systems for the Cohoes Music Hall. Mike Durocher approved the motion. Kenneth Radliff seconded the motion. All members voted “AYE”. The motion passed. Mayor Morse stated the next item for consideration is the Bid opening for Remsen Street Phase II Sidewalk Improvement Project. Jim Bouchard stated that we have received 2 bids. The first bid is from Callanan Industries for $1,177,777 including bid alternatives #1 $19,900, #2 ($71,925) #3 $23,000 and #4 $12,600. He further reported that the 2nd bid was from DelSignore in the amount of $1,499,185 including bid alternatives #1 $18,760, #2 ($68,000) #3 $30,850 and #4 $ 21,000. Jim Bouchard reported that there were only 2 bid received for the project and that the bids will be reviewed by the consultation and City Engineer and they will make a recommendation to the Board at the next meeting. Being no further business to come before the board, Mike Durocher made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Jim Bouchard seconded the motion. All members voted “AYE”. The motion passed.
