Civil Service Commission Agenda MONTHLY MEETING OF THE COHOES CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION October 9, 2019 Present: Rose Vohs, Chairperson Sandy Bonkoski, Commissioner Peter Kusaywa, Commissioner Carol Ratigan, Secretary to the Commission MONTHLY MINUTES – Council Chambers Meeting called to order at 6:04 p.m. REVIEW OF MINUTES – Monthly Meeting of 9/5/19 Rose Vohs made a motion to table the minutes. Peter Kusawya seconded the motion. Motion carried. REVIEW OF MINUTES – Special Meeting of 9/18/19 Rose Vohs made a motion to table the minutes. Peter Kusawya seconded the motion. Motion carried. REVIEW OF RESOLUTION OF DUTIES – SECRETARY TO COMMISSION Upon review of the Resolution of Duties for the Secretary to the Commission, Peter Kusaywa made a motion of the Resolution of Duties as published. Rose Vohs seconded the motion. Resolution was unanimously approved and signed by all Commissioners. REVIEW OF PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENTS – Examinations to be requested within 30 days of appointments Mary Veronese – Typist - Housing Authority Shawn Higgins – School Safety Officer – School District REVIEW OF NON-COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS None. UPDATE OF OFFICE FILE REVIEW Carol Ratigan updated the Commissioners on the city payroll certification and office records review. NEW BUSINESS Next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 11/6/19 to review and sign both annual reports. Carol Ratigan to make a quorum call. Motion to adjourn made by Sandy Bonkoski.
