Special Meeting Common Council Chambers Mayor Morse led in the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 PM Roll call was taken PRESENT: ABSENT: Mayor Morse None Council President Briggs Council Member Smith Council Member Russell Council Member McCarthy Council Member Napier Council Member Koniowka Public Comments: None Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Resolution No. 87 for the year 2017 A RESOLUTION RENAMING WEST END PARK AS VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK Council Member Russell made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 87 seconded by Council President Briggs. All members voted “AYE”. Resolution No. 87 for the year 2017 passed. Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Resolution No. 88 for the year 2017 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO FILE AN APPLICATION UNDER THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY’S BROWNFIELD ASSESSMENT GRANT PROGRAM Council Member Koniowka, “Are there targeted properties?” Melissa Cherubino, Community Development, “There are, but the grant is open to all properties.” Council Member Napier, “Is there a City match?” Melissa Cherubino, “No match is required, but is encouraged.” Council Member McCarthy, “Is the home owner charged for inspection services?” Melissa Cherubino, “We are targeting abandoned properties.” Council Member Russell made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 88 seconded by Council Member Smith. All members voted “AYE”.
