Regular Meeting Common Council Chambers Mayor Morse led in the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:10 PM Roll call was taken PRESENT: ABSENT: Mayor Morse Council Member Koniowka (arrived Council President Briggs @7:06 PM) Council Member Smith Council Member Russell Council Member McCarthy Council Member Napier Public Comment: Paul Giller, Pleasant St., “Just wondering if anything was in the works for municipal broadband.” Mayor Morse, “It is something we are interested in. We just had a meeting with the people we are working with. We are looking at several different things.” At 7:08 PM a public hearing was conducted for Local Law No. 2 for 2018 entitled: A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 36 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF COHOES REGARDING CODE OF ETHICS The public notice was read into the record: Public Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be given to all persons desirous of being heard in reference to Local Law No. 2 for 2018. A public hearing will be held on August 28, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Common Council Chambers, City Hall, Cohoes. At 7:09 PM, with no public comments, the public hearing closed. Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Local Law No. 2 for the year 2018 A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 36 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF COHOES REGARDING CODE OF ETHICS Council President Briggs made a MOTION to approve Local Law No. 2 for the year 2018, seconded by Council Member Smith. All members voted “AYE”. Local Law No. 2 for the year 2018 passed. Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Resolution No. 56 for the year 2018 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018 Common Council Regular Meeting Page 2 of 2 08/28/2018 Council Member Russell made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 56 for the year 2018, seconded by Council President Briggs. All members voted “AYE”. Resolution No. 56 for the year 2018 passed. A copy of the budget transfers are attached. Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Resolution No. 57 for the year 2018 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT Council Member Napier made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 57 for the year 2018, seconded by Council Member McCarthy. All members voted “AYE”. Resolution No. 57 for the year 2018 passed. Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Resolution No. 58 for the year 2018 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE LEASE OF A NEW SUTPHEN SP70 FIRE ENGINE Council Member Koniowka made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 58 for the year 2018, seconded by Council President Briggs. All members voted “AYE”. Resolution No. 58 for the year 2018 passed. Public Comments: None At 7:16 PM the Common Council Member Napier made a MOTION to adjourn. Seconded by Council Member Russell.
