MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY OF COHOES HELD ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2023 IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL Members Present: Charles Valenti, Chairperson Deborah Gilchrist, Member Melody Nadeau, Alternate Member Member Excused: David Emanatian, Member The meeting was called to order at 6:36 p.m. Items Discussed: 1. Minutes of the August 30, 2023 of the Board were approved by a unanimous vote. 2. Complaint No. 23-3- The Board discussed the matter and reviewed the documentation submitted by the Complainant. The Board noted that the DPW Commissioner followed the City’s policy for a private contractor. Since he was not allowed to work on the City’s water distribution system City personnel had to be called into work on the water distribution system pursuant to City policy and the Contract between the City and the Union for the DPW Therefore, there was no violation of Section 36-13 of the City of Cohoes Code of Ethics. The Board determined that Complaint No. 23-3 was unfounded by a unanimous vote. The date of the next meeting of the Board of Ethics will be determined in the near future. The meeting was adjourned at 6:58 p.m.
