MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY OF COHOES HELD ON MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2024 IN ROOM NO. 3 OF CITY HALL Members Present: Charles Valenti, Chairperson David Emanatian, Member Melody Nadeau, Alternate Member Member Excused: Deborah Gilchrist, Member Also Present: Councilmember George Soloyna, 3rd Ward Councilmember The meeting was called to order at 6:41 p.m. Items Discussed: 1. Minutes of the November 27, 2023 meeting of the Board were approved by a unanimous vote. 2. Complaint No. 23-6—Chairperson Valenti acknowledged that the Complainant had notified the Board via email that the Complainant decided to withdraw Complaint No. 23-6. 3. Vacancies on t he Board of Ethics—Chairperson Valenti noted that the term of office of Deborah Gilchrist expired on December 31, 2023 and that David Emanatian and he notified the Common Council that they would retire, effective February 1, 2024. The process of filling the vacancies was discussed. The date and time of the next meeting of the Board will be determined at a later date. The meeting was adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
