The agenda was reviewed and a motion was made by Mr. Turley to accept it. Ms. Stange seconded the motion. All in favor; no opposed. 2. Ms. Stange made a motion to accept the April 25, 2019 meeting minutes as presented. Mr. Turley seconded the motion. All in favor; no opposed. 3. AWC Report from Ms. Cooper a. AWC Donation Account – $10,073 b. Adoptions i. 2 Kittens – Zoe and Oliver were adopted from Petco. c. Fosters/Petco i. Lady (AKA Pearl) – foster with Ms. Rodeffer ii. Osiris - foster with Ms. McNamee iii. Irie at Petco d. Shelter i. Stevie – pending vet work that will occur on May 30, 2019. 4. Municipal Scene Articles a. Symptoms of heat stroke and hot cars for June - Ms. Rodeffer- The June article was submitted. b. Maryland 2000 program for July - Ms. Stange c. Retractable leashes/Trail etiquette for August – Ms. Stange d. Spay & Neuter (potential tie in with grant)- September (pending grant outcome) e. Other potential subject suggestions i. Feline diseases ii. Feral colonies iii. Crate or not crate iv. Dangers/poisons of human food such as xylitol 5. Annual Report - The Annual Report will be due upon conclusion of the fiscal year, i.e., June 30, 2019. Ms. Rodeffer will create a list of topics to include in the report and will send out for the Committee to review. 6. Halloween/Fall Festival – Ms. Cooper informed the Committee that the College Park Woods pool clubhouse may not be there in the Fall and is not available for public use. Ms. Rodeffer asked the Committee to think of possible locations for the Fall Festival. There is a new policy for City events that need to go through the City’s Office of Communications to be presented to the City Manager, Mayor and Council for approval. 7. Volunteer corps – Ms. Cooper asked the Committee for more details on who will be the volunteers and if they are to report to her directly as she will need time to prepare. Ms. Stange motioned for the AWC to not be involved with the volunteer corp and to leave it to the Animal Control Officer. Mr. Turley seconded the motion. All in favor; no opposed. 8. Next meeting will be June 20, 2019 at 7:30pm, location TBD. Ms. Stange made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Mr. Turley. The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm.
