The agenda was reviewed, and a motion was made by Ms. Bellamy to accept it. Ms. Stange seconded the motion. Motion carries 8-0-0. 2. October 22, 2020 minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Ms. Bellamy to accept the minutes as presented. M. Stange seconded the motion. Ms. Butler initiated a discussion on amending the minutes. With no resolution, Ms. Booth made a motion to table approval of the October 22, 2020 minutes until the January 2021 meeting. Ms. Nagle seconded the motion. Motion carries 8-0-0. 3. AWC Report from Mr. Ryan: a. AWC Donation Account – $10,741.39. b. There were two animals in the shelter – Brutus (cat) and Julius (dog). Julius was adopted today and Brutus’ adoption will be final on Tuesday, December 8. c. Two German Shepherds were found running on the railroad tracks. The owner retrieved their dogs. 4. Petco – Oriole and Olive were at Petco but are currently in a foster home not doing well. The Good Shepherd Cat Sanctuary will take the cats for a donation of $350 per cat. Ms. Stange made a motion to pay from the AWC donation fund for Olive and Oriole to be taken to the Good Shepherd Cat Sanctuary and for any future cats that may go to the Good Shepherd Cat Sanctuary. Ms. Bellamy seconded the motion. Motion carries 6- 1-1. Petco had four kittens through Beltsville Cats: two females and two males. The females were adopted quickly, and the males were adopted a week later. Stephanie Stullich had four other kittens at Petco but decided to keep them home with her; no further information from Stephanie has been received by Ms. Stange. 5. Mr. Ryan stated that the MOU has been signed, but he is not sure Greenbelt is still pursuing the CART. Once Ms. Bailey returns from bereavement leave, he will ask her to reach out to Greenbelt for an update. 6. Municipal Scene Articles a. November’s article did not make it into the Municipal Scene and it will be January’s article. b. Mr. Hall did not submit the December article and Ms. Rodeffer did a quick article for December. c. February and March – changes in City Code – Ms. Bailey 7. With the uncertainty of Covid, the intended Spring Rabies/Microchip clinic was suggested to be delayed until Summer 2021. Ms. Booth made a motion to discuss the clinic at the June 2021 AWC meeting. Ms. Ealley seconded the motion. Motion carries 8-0-0. 8. The Annual Report has been submitted to the City Clerk’s office. The Work Plan needs to be completed; Ms. Rodeffer emailed a copy of the blank Work Plan to the committee. Any suggestions should be emailed to Ms. Rodeffer and Ms. Bellamy. The draft will be sent to Mayor and Council by December 31. It will be reviewed and voted on at the January meeting and a final copy will be submitted to the City Clerk’s office. The mission statement was also emailed to the committee for review and comments which should be returned to Ms. Rodeffer and Ms. Bellamy. 9. Anyone with suggestions on what should be included in the Foster application should email Ms. Bailey. 10. The next virtual meeting will be on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 7:30pm. Ms. Booth made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Ms. Bellamy. Motion carries 8-0-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20pm. Respectfully submitted by Sheryl DeWalt, contract secretary.
