The agenda was reviewed, and a motion was made by Ms. Stange to accept it. Mr. Turley seconded the motion. Motion carries 10-0-0. 2. October 22, 2020 minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Ms. Rodeffer to accept the minutes as presented. Ms. Ealley seconded the motion. Ms. Butler stated that she wanted to discuss #3 based on the corrections she wanted to for it and had been emailed out to the committee. Ms. Rodeffer read the corrections submitted by Ms. Butler. With no further discussion, Ms. Butler made a motion to accept the October 22, 2020 minutes with her corrections. Ms. Termini seconded. Motion carries 12-0-0. 3. December 3, 2020 minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Ms. Stange to accept the minutes. Mr. Turley seconded the motion. Motion carries 12-0-0. 4. Mr. Ryan welcomed two new members to AWC: Stephanie Stullich and Stacy Teng. 5. AWC Report from Mr. Ryan: a. AWC Donation Account – $10,391.39. Includes the donation made to the Good Shepherd Cat Sanctuary for Olive. b. Both Brutus (cat) and Julius (dog) who were adopted are doing well with their new families. c. Oreo (cat) is fostering with Pete and doing well.  d. Several animals were taken to Prince George’s County shelter in January: i. Rottweiler as he was aggressive. ii. Pit Bull – owner surrender iii. Chickens iv. Cat, who was injured and may have had a rabies issue. The cat was not ear-tipped. e. Brief discussion on Terrapin Row with a resident reporting that her dog was attacked by two pit bulls running loose in the fenced in courtyard. Mr. Ryan and Ms. Bailey will be contacting the management company and apprising them of the animal laws for Prince George’s County. f. Brief discussion on Pit Bulls and the ban in for Prince George’s County. Ms. Rodeffer reminded the committee that the AWC cannot change the laws; the committee must adhere to the laws of both College Park and Prince George’s County. 6. Petco – There have not been any cats in Petco for several months. Ms. Stange stated that when College Park did not have available cats, other county shelters were contacted. Ms. Bailey stated she will check with other county shelters about cats. 7. Ms. Bailey is continuing to work on an application for fosters. Her preference is to have fosters who live in College Park or very near to College Park. Once the application is completed, she will email to the committee for review. 8. Mr. Ryan stated that he has spoken to the City Manager of Greenbelt with regards to the MOU and the CART; however, when the recent death of a police officer, the conversation was deferred. 9. Municipal Scene Articles a. February – Updates on City Code Animal Laws – Ms. Bailey b. March – Benefits of adopting two kittens instead of one – Ms. Stullich c. April – Steps to take and who to call when you have lost an animal – Ms. Butler d. May – Keeping cats inside – Ms. Stullich and Mr. Hall 10. With the uncertainty of Covid, the Rabies/Microchip clinic discussion will be tabled until Summer 2021. Ms. Bailey can administer microchips and arrangements can be made to have an appointment. Rabies shots need to be administered by a vet. Mr. Ryan and Ms. Bailey will work on verbiage about appointments for microchips and have it placed on all City social media websites. 11. Mr. Ryan stated that he received word that the North County animal facility has been postponed to FY 2024. 12. Mr. Turley thanked the committee members who helped trap the community cats at Bonnie Williams’ home. Ms. Williams’ died on Wednesday. 13. The next virtual meeting will be on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 7:30pm. Ms. Stange made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Mr. Turley. Motion carries 12-0-0.
