The agenda was reviewed, and a motion was made by Ms. Rodeffer to accept it. Mr. Hall seconded the motion. Motion carries 9-0-0. 2. May 27, 2021 minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Ms. Rodeffer to accept the minutes. Ms. Termini seconded the motion. Motion carries 9-0-0. 3. AWC Report from Ms. Bailey was sent out via email prior to the meeting. (NB – there was no update on budget amount). Other items reviewed: a. There is no update on the Foster Home Development Program or Shelter Volunteer form. The forms for review are still with the Suellen Ferguson, the City’s attorney. b. Discussed Microchip/Rabies Clinic. Mr. Ryan indicated that the clinic could be done outside, in a secure tent, at either Davis Hall parking lot or Duvall Field. Discussion ensued amongst the committee about the clinic needing to be held in Davis Hall and not outside. A vet has been secured for the clinic. Ms. Rodeffer indicated she would speak to Mr. Ryan upon his return from vacation. c. Dog Park is still not open. Ms. Bailey believes DPW is still waiting on county permits. She believes the opening may be in August. d. Ms. Bailey will be on leave from June 25-July 2. If there are animals in the shelter, arrangements will be made for them.  4. Petco Update: a. Two cats were adopted today. There are five more in the habitat. Ms. Stange has an application for three more cats. Ms. Bailey indicated that she had asked the City’s Communication Coordinator to post the cat availability on social media. 5. Municipal Scene Articles. The committee wanted to know why the past month’s article did not make the Municipal Scene. Ms. Bailey said she would make inquiries. The committee also asked if the Municipal Scene could publish two articles instead of one. a. September – Dental hygiene of cats and dogs – Mr. Hall b. October – Bathing, nail trimming, and signs that anal glands may need expressed – Ms. Rodeffer 6. College Park Day is scheduled for October 9. AWC has always had a presence under the City tent. Besides informational pieces, the committee has given away poop bags, stickers, emergency stickers. Committee members asked to ensure that there were also cat items available for give away. Ms. Stange indicated that Petco has toys that can be used for College Park Day. The committee will finalize at the August meeting. 7. Just a reminder to the committee to only hit “Reply All” if the message is intended for the entire committee. If you only need to reference one or two people, please just reply to the person(s). 8. The next virtual meeting will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 7:30pm. Ms. Termini made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Ms. Booth. Motion carries 12-0-0.
