The agenda was reviewed. Mr. Hew motioned to accept the agenda and Mr. Pound seconded. Motion carries for approval 6-0-0. 2. The November 10, 2021, minutes were reviewed. Mr. Hew motioned to accept the minutes and Mr. Beatty seconded. Motion carries for approval 6-0-0. 3. The December 1, 2021, minutes were reviewed. Mr. Hew motioned to accept the minutes and Ms. Ulloa-Bustos seconded. Motion carries for approval 6-0-0. 4. City Report. a. The recertification for Bee City USA is due February 2022. The following items are completed and/or will need to be completed for recertification: i. Native Plant List – completed and uploaded on City website. ii. Native Plant vendor list. Ernst’s Seeds is the only one in the area. Mr. Hew made a motion to add Ernst’s Seeds to the current plant list and Mr. Beatty seconded. Motion carries 6-0-0. Ms. Alexander will have it added to the City website. iii. IPM plan needed. iv. 24” x 24” street sign. Ms. Alexander has ordered the sign and it will be installed at the Pollinator Garden at Cherokee and 49th Place. v. Mayor’s Monarch Pledge has been submitted by Ms. Alexander. vi. Milkweed seed giveaway at the Free Libraries – completed. Pictures and information listed on Facebook and social media websites. vii. Pollinator Garden planting on Good Neighbor Day – completed. b. City Hall Grand Opening in Tuesday, December 14 at 5:00pm. All are welcome to attend. c. Pollinator Garden for Good Neighbor Day had 12 volunteers, mix of residents and students. Thank you to Ms. Ulloa-Bustos for her assistance.  d. Route 1 Pollinator meeting was attended by Ms. Espindola and Ms. Alexander. The group is beginning to work on a pollinator planting map showing existing pollinator gardens and potential pollinator garden sites. Other items discussed were bee hotels and No Mow Month resolution. 5. No Mow Month was discussed at the December 7, 2021, City Council meeting. The resolution pass unanimously as a voluntary pilot program. Follow up will be needed for education and clarification of City residents. Several Zoom workshops will need to be scheduled and the dates will need to be advertised. Announcements should be done and placed in the Municipal Scene for January and February. Residents will be asked to sign up to participate in No Mow Month; an online registration form will need to be created by the City’s Communications Coordinator (Ms. Alexander will coordinate). The signage competition will need to be sent to City Council for approval. 6. Ms. Alexander will inquire with the City Clerk’s office if there is an area to display certificates at City, e.g., Tree City USA plaque, Bee City USA plaque, Mayor’s Monarch Pledge, etc. 7. Mr. Huot is handling the second distribution of milkweed seeds. He should be able to report out at the January 2022 meeting. 8. The annual report for Mayor, City Council and the City Manager will need to be completed. Mr. Hew emailed a draft copy for the committee to review at tonight’s meeting. Ms. DeWalt has volunteered to revise and update the annual report for the committee to review. 9. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 7:00pm.
