Call to Order Ms. Sutton called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m. II. Review and Approval of Agenda The Committee reviewed the meeting agenda. Ms. Wolley motioned to approve the agenda as presented. Second by Ms. Chicquelo. All members were in favor; none opposed. III. Reading and Approval of 01/17/19 Meeting Minutes The Committee reviewed the meeting minutes from the January 17, 2019 meeting and corrections were made to the minutes. Ms. Wolley made a motion to approve the January 17th meeting minutes as amended. Second by Ms. Chicquelo. All members were in favor; none opposed. IV. Annual Report for submission to Mayor and Council The Committee reviewed the drafted annual report and corrections were made. Ms. Wolley made a motion to accept the annual report with Ms. Chicquelo’s edits. Second by Ms. Chicquelo. All members were in favor; none opposed. V. Membership 1  a. There are two people interested in becoming members of the Committee. Ms. Fletcher will provide applications to those interested. b. The Council’s hold on adding members to committees has been lifted. VI. 2020 Planning a. Program The Committee discussed creating a modified program with a panel discussion that will include three speakers. The speakers would include a youth, an entertainer, and a Congressional scholar. The MC would serve as the moderator. The Committee also discussed having a newscaster as the MC such as Donnie Simpson, Tony Perkins, or Gayle King. b. Venue The Clarice Smith has a smaller theater that may work better for a panel discussion. Ms. Fletcher to have more details for the next meeting. c. Event Date The event date would be January 18, 2020. d. Day of Service Ms. Chicquelo discussed having participants and guests bring a non-perishable item that can be donated to a shelter. VII.
