MINUTES Special Session of the College Park City Council Tuesday, February 17, 2015 Council Chambers 10:15 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Fellows; Councilmembers Kabir, Brennan, Dennis, Stullich, Day, Hew and Mitchell. ABSENT: Councilmember Wojahn. ALSO PRESENT: Joe Nagro, City Manager; Janeen Miller, City Clerk; Bill Gardiner, Assistant City Manager; Suellen Ferguson, City Attorney; Terry Schum, Director of Planning; Bob Ryan, Director of Public Services; Jill Clements, Director of Human Resources; Cole Holocker, Student Liaison. During a regularly scheduled Worksession of the College Park City Council, a motion was made by Councilmember Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Day to enter into a Special Session. The possibility of the Special Session was listed on the Worksession agenda. ACTION ITEMS Ms. Schum said the State Department of Housing and Community Development have asked for letters of support of funding for three DHCD programs in the Governor’s proposed FY ’16 budget. The programs are Community Legacy, Neighborhood BusinessWorks, and Strategic Demolition. If the Council is inclined to approve these letters, they are needed tonight. 15-G-26 A motion was made by Councilmember Brennan and seconded by Councilmember Mitchell to authorize the letters of support for DHCD’s core revitalization programs. There were no comments from the audience or from Council. The motion passed 7 - 0 - 0. ADJOURN: A motion was made by Councilmember Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Day to adjourn the Special Session.
