MINUTES Special Session of the College Park City Council Tuesday, October 17, 2017 Council Chambers 7:35 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Pro Tem Dennis; Councilmembers Kabir, Nagle, Brennan, Stullich, Day, Kujawa, and Cook. ABSENT: Mayor Wojahn. ALSO PRESENT: Scott Somers, City Manager; Janeen Miller, City Clerk; Suellen Ferguson, City Attorney; Bill Gardiner, Assistant City Manager; Terry Schum, Director of Planning; Bob Ryan, Director of Public Services; Bob Stumpff, Director of Public Works; Brenda Alexander, Deputy Director of Public Works; Chris Keosian, Student Liaison; Julianne Heberlein, Deputy Student Liaison. During a regularly scheduled Worksession of the College Park City Council, a motion was made by Councilmember Kujawa and seconded by Councilmember Cook to enter into a Special Session to take action on a request to approve an amended Contract of Sale for the College Park Woods Swimming Club property. The possibility of the Special Session was listed on the Worksession agenda. The motion carried 8-0-0 and the Council entered into the Special Session at 7:35 p.m. ACTION ITEM 17-G-12 Approval of an amended Contract of Sale for the College Park Woods Swimming Club property Mr. Somers reviewed the staff report and potential fiscal impact. This is an amended Contract of Sale plus a draft ordinance for introduction next week. Ms. Ferguson said the amendments are agreeable to the Board of the CPWSC and the effective date would be today, therefore the due diligence period would begin October 20. She reviewed the amendments. A motion was made by Councilmember Kujawa and seconded by Councilmember Cook to approve the amended Contract of Sale. Councilmember Cook thanked everyone for their work on this project over many months, and Councilmember Nagle said she is glad we are at this point. The motion passed 8 – 0 – 0. ADJOURN: A motion was made by Councilmember Kujawa and seconded by Councilmember Brennan to adjourn the Special Session, and with a vote of 8 – 0 – 0 Mayor Wojahn adjourned the Special Session at 7:50 p.m. ____________________________________________ Janeen S.
