MINUTES Special Session of the College Park City Council Tuesday, January 2, 2018 Council Chambers 9:45 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Wojahn; Councilmembers Kennedy, Brennan, Dennis, Day, Rigg, Kujawa and Mitchell. ABSENT: Councilmember Kabir ALSO PRESENT: Scott Somers, City Manager; Bill Gardiner, Assistant City Manager; Janeen Miller, City Clerk; Suellen Ferguson, City Attorney. During a regularly scheduled Worksession of the College Park City Council, a motion was made by Councilmember Brennan and seconded by Councilmember Kennedy to enter into a Special Session to make time-sensitive appointments to the Advisory Planning Commission and to the Community Services Grants review subcommittee. The possibility of the Special Session was listed on the Worksession agenda. The motion carried 7-0-0 and the Council entered into the Special Session at 9:45 p.m. AGENDA ITEMS: 18-G-01 Appointments to Boards and Committees including the Advisory Planning Commission and the Community Services Grants review committee A motion was made by Councilmember Kennedy and seconded by Councilmember Brennan to appoint Ben Flamm to the Advisory Planning Commission. The motion passed 7 – 0 – 0. A motion was made by Councilmember Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Kennedy to appoint Santosh Chilleah to the Advisory Planning Commission. The motion passed 7 – 0 – 0. A motion was made by Councilmember Rigg and seconded by Councilmember Day to appoint Stephanie Stullich to the Advisory Planning Commission. The motion passed 5-0-2 (Councilmembers Kujawa and Mitchell abstained). A motion was made by Councilmember Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Day to appoint Councilmembers Kujawa, Day and Dennis to the Community Services Grants review subcommittee. The motion passed 7 – 0 – 0. ADJOURN: A motion was made by Councilmember Kennedy and seconded by Councilmember Mitchell to adjourn the Special Session, and with a vote of 7 – 0 – 0, Mayor Wojahn adjourned the Special Session at 9:50 p.m. __________________________________ Janeen S.
