I. Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 6:23 p.m.
II. Review and Approval of Agenda
Mrs. Oarr suggested to amend the agenda to delay discussion of items that require votes as
quorum was not met.
III. Welcome New Member: Aiina De Triana

IV. Review and Approval of March 4, 2019 Minutes
Quorum was not met; discussion was postponed
V. Recreation Facility Use Requests
a. Thyssen-Krupp – 05/03/2019
b. Maryland Elite/Rodriguez 3/25 thru 5/27 Sun., Mon., Wed., Fri.,
(may conflict with other approved users)
c. CPB&G Club Baseball – through 07/14, Sundays noon until 2:00 p.m.
Quorum was not met; discussion was postponed
VII. Citywide Events Reports and Planning:
a. Brunch with the Bunny – 04/06/19
The board reviewed and discussed:
• Menu items, cost comparisons, & shopping lists
-Purchasing and preparing food items
-Hot dogs from Costco
-Coffee Carafes from Dunkin Doughnuts
-Ms. Fletcher will pre-pay and arrange a scheduled pick up
-Substituting sodas for bottled water for children
• Event schedule for posting
-Mrs. Bernache-Crocker will prepare the sign
b. Parent’s Night Out – 05/10/2019
• Participating Restaurant – College Park Grill
• Promotional flier – develop stronger language
• Begin planning next event
c. Fourth of July Band Selection – 07/04/2019
• The Nightlife Band is confirmed
• Fireworks contract executed
d. Blues Festival - 11/09/2019
• Venue confirmed
• DCBS Agreement in review
• Banners submitted for date change

VII. Ethics Review
Mr. Ryan provided board members with a copy of a memorandum dated 8.12.16 from the
City Clerk regarding Rules and Procedures pertaining to Council-Appointed Boards.
• Attachment 3 is under review to provide more clarity on how the rules and
procedures apply to events similar to Parents Night Out.
• The board discussed planning considerations to partner with vendors for future
events for prior approval by Mayor & Council.
