Approval of Meeting Agenda: The agenda for the January 21, 2021 meeting was reviewed. Motion: Accept agenda as presented. Moved: Ms. Alfred Second: Ms. O’Brien Aye: Unanimous Nay: 0 Abstain: 0 2. Approval of November Meeting Minutes: The minutes of the November 18, 2020 meeting were reviewed, and edits were made to the minutes. Motion: Accept November meeting minutes as amended. Approval of December Meeting Minutes: The minutes of the December 16, 2020 meeting were reviewed, and edits were made to the minutes. Motion: Accept December minutes as amended. Public Works Department Report: Ms. Alexander shared the following highlights: • The landscape crew has been working on weeding, perennial cutbacks, and taking down holiday decorations. • Received engineered wood fiber that was installed at Old Town and Calvert Hills playgrounds. 5. CBE Report: No updates. 1 6. Old Business a. Review – Public forum comments from 11/18/2020 The Board discussed the questions and comments that came up during the public forum. The Board brainstormed ideas to help encourage City residents to maintain trees on private property. It was suggested to create a registry for residents to register the number of trees of a specific diameter on their property. It was also suggested to start a fund from developer fees that would be used to help City residents that cannot afford the cost of tree maintenance. Another suggestion was to increase the TCEP reimbursement from $150 to $250. b. Update Urban Tree Protection Recommendations The Board will include final edits to the recommendations and will finalize during the February meeting. 7. Next Meeting Date The next meeting will be held on February 18, 2021. 8. Adjournment Ms. Alfred adjourned the meeting at 9:01 p.m. 2
