Approval of Meeting Agenda: The agenda for the April 15, 2021 meeting was reviewed and no edits were made. Motion: Accept agenda as presented. Moved: Ms. Alfred Second: Ms. O’Brien Aye: Unanimous Nay: 0 Abstain: 0 2. Approval of March Meeting Minutes: The minutes of the March 18, 2021 meeting were reviewed and edits were made to the minutes. Moved: Dr. Lea-Cox Second: Ms. Alfred Aye: Unanimous Nay: 0 Abstain: 0 3. Public Works Department Report: Ms. Alexander shared the following highlights:  The landscape crew have finished installing 30 replacement street trees.  Pepco’s contractor, Ashton Manor, will begin planting 82 replacement trees in the City.  Summer annuals have been ordered and will be delivered on May 11th.  Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission is having a tree giveaway on Saturday May 1st from 9a.m. – 1p.m. at the College Park Airport. 4. CBE Report: No updates. 5. Old Business  a. Arbor Day - The Arbor Day celebration will be held on April 30, 2021 at 6 p.m. in James Adams Park. The Lakeland Civic Association will be participating in the event. A Virginia scrub pine tree will be planted in the park. b. Update Urban Tree Protection Recommendations – The Board continued editing the recommendations in preparation for the City Council meeting scheduled on April 20, 2021. Ms. Alfred motioned to accept the recommendations dated April 15, 2021 to be submitted to Council on April 16, 2021. Second by Mr. Reitzel. All members in favor; no opposed. 6. New Business Ms. Alfred motioned to postpone new business items until next month’s meeting. Second by Ms. Wagner. All members in favor; no opposed. 7. Next Meeting Date The next meeting will be held on May 19, 2021. 8. Adjourn Ms. Alfred adjourned the meeting at 9:10 p.m.
