Guy Lisa Moore Leahnette Rivers Lisa Smith Konnie Speirs Patrick Trapp Casey Wheeler Steering Committee Members Absent: Shannon Fitzgibbons Paula Miranda Also Present: Cheryl A. Young, Mayor Stocker, Columbia County Economic Team CEO, opened the meeting. Guy, Columbia City citizen, introduced himself and said he’s been a resident of Columbia City for 27 years, and he has an interest in how the City develops. Speirs, Columbia City citizen, introduced herself and said she’s been a life-long resident of Columbia City. Trapp, Port of St. Helens Executive Director, introduced himself and said he works in Columbia City. 1 Remaining members reintroduced themselves to the group. Stocker walked the group through various exercises and facilitated several discussions focused on narrowing down the following list of key community values that were identified during the Community Workshop: Attractive Peaceful Quiet Friendly Safe Interact Closely Responsive Government Financial Stability After a lengthy discussion, it was the consensus of the group that the following key values were vital to the community: Safe, attractive, quiet neighborhoods Responsive government Economic diversity The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. 2
