COMMUNITY HALL, 1850 SECOND STREET COLUMBIA CITY, OR 97018 Steering Committee Members Present: David Stocker, Facilitator Lisa Bush Christine Ebrahimi Ken Gates William G. Guy Leahnette Rivers Lisa Smith Konnie Speirs Patrick Trapp Casey Wheeler Steering Committee Members Absent: Shannon Fitzgibbons Paula Miranda Lisa Moore Also Present: Cheryl A. Young Sally Ann Marson Don Patterson (departed 8:30 p.m.) David Stocker, Columbia County Economic Team CEO, opened the meeting. Using the information gathered from this evening’s Community Visioning Workshop, David assisted the group in developing the following draft Columbia City Vision Statement: 1  Columbia City is the lower Columbia River’s ideal small town - a city of beauty and livability. Residents connect in safe, attractive, and quiet neighborhoods. The city welcomes diverse community-sustaining businesses. Engaged citizens and responsive local governments collaborate to preserve the city’s distinctive identity and independence. It was the consensus of all present that the draft Vision Statement be presented to the City Council for consideration. Lisa Bush will attend the May 3, 2012 City Council Meeting to present the draft Vision Statement. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. 2
