Don’t anticipate responses until just before the event. Neil is a HAM radio operator and will coordinate for Ham radio to set up a table at the fair. Will be part of the prepared fair. • Neal shared info from State of Washington “Map your neighborhood” program as a way to approach getting to know your neighbors. Was similar to CERT info, but focuses is neighborhood size. Also found a larger plan from Portland. He will email docs to the committee. Connie spoke of a few other resources she has seen used in the past including a local group that shares emails and does block potlucks. FEMA and Red Cross have helpful information on their site. Need a “Go-bag” to keep in your car or home including medicines for emergency scenarios. • Identify resources and knowledge we have in the neighborhood. Would like to collect information more widely to create a sense of community and know who lives around you. • Jazzmin, Gary, and Logan will create a “know your neighbor” project plan and a draft template of something we can collect information on at the 8/8 celebration event. Logan and Frank available to man the table in shifts. • Quick discussion about fire preparedness. Last fire in Columbia City was in 1951 • Next meeting July 28, 2026 Adjourned at 6:39 1
