1. Call meeting to order

3. Approve Agenda of April 11, 2019 Meeting with additions “Other”:
Motion: Luksavitz, Second: Altschwager, Motion carried
4. Approve Minutes of March 14, 2019:
Motion: Salzwedel Second: Lukasavitz; Motion carried
5. Treasurer Report-Attached:
Motion: Kurth, Second: Lukasavitz; Motion carried.
6. CHLPC City budget summary: Not available
7. Old Business:
A. 2019 Calendars: Calendars still available for sale.
B. Don Peachey Concert - April 7, 2019 – wrap up: Positive feedback.
1) Picnic license ($40) & insurance with CDDC: CDDC paid the fee for the picnic
license and will include the summer concerts on their insurance for a fee yet to be
determined. Salzwedel made a motion to purchase a plaque for the “Pavilion Wall of
Fame” for CDDC for their contribution. Lukasavitz seconded it. Motion carried.
C. Summer Concert Series – June 27, July 25, & August 22:
1) Bands – contracts from Loco Vocals and Gabriel Sanchez and Nine
Thirty Standard: Contracts sent to bands.
2) Vendors – contracts: Contracts sent to vendors.
3) Sponsorship email letters – Out 4/6/19: Follow-up emails scheduled to be sent out
April 26, May 3, and May 10.
4) Advertising – banners, posters, cards, and 4th of July ad: Lukasavitz will continue
to work with Chris Proost. 4th of July ad submitted.
5) Newspaper articles: Fredericks will contact Ulrich to submit articles and photos prior
to the monthly concerts.
D. CHLPC logo/branding – marketing: Lukasavitz distributed lanyards with the the
CHLPC logo. Additonal lanyards for volunteers suggested.
E. Update nameplates – ordered 3/25/19: 19 names added, new list forming.
F CHLPC garden – marker for Alice – vote on verbiage, order, installation –
May 6th: DPW is preparing for installation. Lukasavitz made a motion to install a memorial
marker for Alice Schmidt with the following wording in the black/silver finish. Altschwager
seconded it. Motion carried.

H: 2019 projects & planning: Meeting scheduled for April 25, 2019
8, New Business:
A. Bills – copies, and Don Peachey expenses: Not currently available.
. B. Certificate of Appropriateness – Cindy Fesemeyer/Columbus Public Library:
Lukasavitz made a motion to accept the application, Kurth seconded it. Motion carried
with one opposing vote.
C. Certificate of Appropriateness – Maloney’s – heater vent on front of building
Salzwedel made a motion to accept the application, Lukasavitz seconded it. Motion
carried.
D. Guest – Andrew Gile – Auditorium discussion: Gile expressed his vision for
restoration of the City Hall Auditorium.
E: Other:
1) Pavilion Issues: Altschwager made mention of service dogs only be
given access to Pavilion events.
2) Downtown Beautification Banners: Selected banners were viewed and discussed.
Kurth made a motion to release $5000 allocated for banners as Phase I of the project.
Salzwedel seconded it. Motion carried.
3) Local Landmarks: Salzwedel will research creating local landmark status for 251
W. James St.
9. Council Liaison Report: Theilen absent.
10. Adjourn: Lukasavitz made a motion to adjourn, Altschwager seconded it. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 pm.
