Columbus Historic Landmarks and Preservation Commission Regular Meeting Agenda Wednesday, January 13, 2021 3:30 PM Community Center Building 2/10/2021 Minutes amended to include comments made from Altschwager stating that information (bank statements, etc.) are not being forwarded to her from F&M Bank and City Hall. Motion to approve including the amendment: Salzwedel; Second: Hermanson; Motion carried. Attendees: Carolyn Fredericks Beth Altschwager Retta Kurth Ruth Hermanson Eric Lukasavitz John Salzwedel Jan Ulrich Council Liaison: Ian Gray Guests: Paul Pyfferoen, Amy Jo Meyers 1. Call meeting to order: Carolyn Fredericks 2. Properly posted meeting: Check 3. Citizen comments on agenda items: None 4. Approve Agenda: Motion: Lukasavitz; Second: Ulrich; Motion carried. 5. Approve minutes from the December 9, 2020 meeting: Motion: Salzwedel; Second: Lukasavitz; Motion carried. 6. Treasurer Report-Attached: Motion to approve: Salzwedel; Second: Hermanson; Motion carried. 7. Old Business: A. Pavilion Window Restoration Project – Phase 3: Salzwedel reported that Trego Architects should be submitting the Class 2 notification in the next week. Altschwager made a motion to increase the amount allocated to Trego Architects by $500 if necessary. Lukasavitz seconded it. Motion carried. B. Façade Improvement Grant: Fredericks reported no feed-back from Mayor Thom. Gray recommended consulting with Schreiber and working with Ellefson & Johnson on ordinances. 8. New Business: A. Bills: Altschwager made a motion to reimburse Ulrich two bills from Minuteman Press totaling $193.74. Kurth seconded it. Motion carried. B. Application for Certificate of Appropriateness – Rose Legacy Real Estate Signage - 150 Ludington St.: Following discussion, it was agreed to request more information regarding space, questioning additional businesses. Frederick will follow up. Lukasavitz volunteered to “streamline” the application for applicants. C. Summer Concert Series 2021 – discussion/plan: Tabled D. 2021 Columbia and Dodge County Tourism Guide request: Nothing to contribute at this time. E. Chapel St. Water Tower maintenance schedule – discussion: Hermanson will complete an inspection by next month and prioritize what needs to be done. 9. Council Liaison Report: Gray reported on the nominations for Council and Mayor. Meyers passed out copies of her submittal of “Standard Operating Procedures for City of Columbus Common Council”.
