Call To Order/Roll Call A regular meeting of the Citizens Public Safety Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Dave Bierweiler on August 22, 2024, at 4:01 PM. Present 4 - Board Member David Bierweiler, Board Member Tracee Perkins, Board Member Roxanne Nice, and Board Member Scott Hefty Absent 1 - Board Member Carlos Tello 2. Approval of Minutes This was approved 3. Introduction - Board member Carlos Tello Not Present 4. Department Update(s) - Overview of recent homicides the successful solving of the weekends homicides. - Flock system performance Commander Talon discussed being at 66% installed in the city. The success rate of the use of the system. - Chief updates The lateral transfer of four Detectives. The Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) is up and running. The Citizens academy had 27 applicants with 26 showing. Community Events/ Activities - National Night Out - Project 365, July 30th Board Member Hefty discussed the success of the event - National Night Out, August 6th Chair Bierwiler stated the comradery of the neighborhood and the success of the event. Vice Chair Perkins stated "a show of personification of the badge" - Upcoming Events and/ or attendance Did not discuss 6. Administrative Business Update on Board member Hefty Discuss amending the bylaws as it pertains to the requirement section. - A robust conversation ensued. - Board member Nice described her role as an active member working with PD staff updating the city's website and her involvement. - Board Member Nice will provide suggested wording for amending current bylaws by next meeting. Review and approve recruitment flyer - Did not discuss. 7.
