Call to Order/Roll Call A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Ford on March 14, 2016, at 6:01 PM. A motion was made by Council Member Amador, seconded by Council Member Teter, to excuse Council Member McEldowney from tonight's meeting. VOTE: 8 aye, 1 excused (McEldowney) Present: 8 - Mayor Sean Ford , Council Member Jadie Carson, Council Member Rick A. Teter, Mayor Pro Tem René Bullock, Council Member Crystal Elliott, Council Member Steven J. Douglas, Council Member Andrew Amador and Council Member Paolo Diaz Excused: 1 - Council Member Jason McEldowney 2. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3. Resolutions Council Member McEldowney entered the meeting at this time. Present: 9 - Mayor Sean Ford , Council Member Jadie Carson, Council Member Rick A. Teter, Mayor Pro Tem René Bullock, Council Member Crystal Elliott, Council Member Jason McEldowney, Council Member Steven J. Douglas, Council Member Andrew Amador and Council Member Paolo Diaz Res 2016-19 RESOLUTION APPROVING PHASED REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE FORMER MILE HIGH GREYHOUND PARK Community Development Director Cramer provided council with a review of the item discussed at council on February 1, 2016. Mr. Cramer stated that staff has received input from the school district as directed from council. The district is supportive of the project keeping the TIF for both residential and commercial. They expressed some real concern about short-term space issues at Central Elementary School and have asked that the project figure out a way to have a voluntary contribution for the dollar amount equivalent to a modular type classroom space to be installed for the 2017 school year, including a water tap. Futhermore, they asked that if there is an additional mill levy overide, the new mill levy not be included as a part of the TIF. Staff has passed the information on to REgen. Commerce City Page 1 City Council Meeting Minutes - Final March 14, 2016 A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Bullock, seconded by Council Member Amador, that this resolution be continued. VOICE VOTE: Unanimous, all present affirmed. 4. Ordinances on 1st Reading Ord 2083 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMMERCE CITY REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 2-3006 ENTITLED CITIZEN PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY BOARD TO ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 2 A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Bullock, seconded by Council Member McEldowney, that this ordinance be introduced by council as seated and approved on first reading. VOTE: Aye: 9- Mayor Ford, Council Member Carson, Council Member Teter, Mayor Pro Tem Bullock, Council Member Elliott, Council Member McEldowney, Council Member Douglas, Council Member Amador and Council Member Diaz 5. Adjourn to URA Meeting Adams City High School Youth performed a number from their upcoming musical production of "Foot Loose" and invited council to attend their performance running from March 17th through the 19th. There being no further business before council, the meeting was adjourned. In accord with the city charter, the city attorney read the title to all ordinances and resolutions adopted by Council at this meeting.
