Call to Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Ford on February 27, 2017, at 8:04 p.m. Present: 9 - Mayor Sean Ford , Council Member Jadie Carson, Mayor Pro Tem Rick A. Teter, Mayor Pro Tem René Bullock, Council Member Crystal Elliott, Council Member Jason McEldowney, Council Member Steven J. Douglas, Council Member Andrew Amador and Council Member Paolo Diaz 2. Presentations Pres 17-134 Tower Road Storm Sewer Drainage Update Deputy City Manager Roger Tinklenberg gave a brief presentation concerning the status of the regional drainage project to be constructed with the Tower Road Widening Project Public Input: David Foster 3. Executive Session 17-09 AN EXECUTIVE SESSION, PURSUANT TO CRS 24-6-402(4)(b), TO RECEIVE LEGAL ADVICE ON THE TOWER ROAD STORM SEWER DRAINAGE AND CRS 24-6-402(4)(e) TO DETERMINE POSITIONS RELATIVE TO MATTERS THAT MAY BE SUBJECT TO NEGOTIATIONS, DEVELOP STRATEGY FOR NEGOTIATIONS, AND INSTRUCT NEGOTIATORS REGARDING AGREEMENT FOR FUNDING OF IMPROVEMENTS. A motion was made by Council Member McEldowney, seconded by Council Member Elliott, that an executive session, pursuant to CRS 24-6-402(4)(b) to receive legal advice on the Tower Road storm sewer drainage and pursuant to CRS 24-6-402(4)(e) to determine positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations, develop strategy for negotiations, and instruct negotiators regarding agreement for funding of improvements, be held.
