Call to Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Ford on September 11, 2017, at 7:37 p.m. A motion was made by Council Member Teter, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Bullock, to excuse Council Member Douglas from this meeting. VOTE: 8 aye, 1 excused (Douglas) Present: 8 - Mayor Sean Ford , Council Member Jadie Carson, Council Member Rick A. Teter, Mayor Pro Tem René Bullock, Council Member Crystal Elliott, Council Member Jason McEldowney, Council Member Andrew Amador and Council Member Paolo Diaz Excused: 1 - Council Member Steven J. Douglas 2. Presentations Pres 17-387 Proposed South Adams County Fire District Impact Fees Council discussed the fee studies conducted by both the Brighton and South Adams County Fire Districts. The fire districts are now asking council to enter into IGAs for the purpose of authorizing the collection of fire impact fees on new development. As part of the discussion, council reviewed their recent actions related to development fees and the reductions they have made in other areas. 3. Executive Session 17-66 An executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(e) and (b) for the purpose of determining positions, developing strategy, and instructing negotiators relative to an intergovernmental agreement for the imposition of fire protection impact fees and for the receipt of legal advice relating thereto A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Bullock, seconded by Council Member McEldowney, to enter into an executive session, pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4) (e) and (b), for the purpose of determining positions, developing strategy, and instructing negotiators relative to an intergovernmental agreement for the imposition of fire protection imapct fees and for the receipt of legal advice relating thereto.
