Call to Order A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Huseman on October 10, 2022, at 10:08 PM. A motion was made by Council Member Madera, seconded by Council Member Ford, to excuse those members not present. VOTE: 7 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Hurst) Present: 7 - Mayor Benjamin Huseman, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Council Member Oscar Madera, Council Member Rick Davis, Council Member Susan Noble, Council Member Sean Ford and Council Member Kristi Douglas Excused: 1 - Council Member Craig Hurst 2. Executive Session 22-175 An executive session pursuant to C.R.S. sec. 24-6-402(4)(b) for the purpose of conferring with the City Attorney to receive legal advice with regard to contractual matters involving the former Chief of Police, and if necessary, then also pursuant to C.R.S. sec 24-6-402(4)(e)(I) to instruct negotiators with regard to the same. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, seconded by Council Member Madera, to enter into an An executive session pursuant to C.R.S. sec. 24-6-402(4)(b) for the purpose of conferring with the City Attorney to receive legal advice with regard to contractual matters involving the former Chief of Police, and if necessary, then also pursuant to C.R.S. sec 24-6-402(4)(e)(I) to instruct negotiators with regard to the same.
