Call to Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Huseman on November 28, 2022, at 6:00 PM. A motion was made by Council Member Hurst, seconded by Council Member Davis, to excuse members not present. VOTE: 8 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Ford) 2. Executive Session An executive session addressing the City Attorney recruitment, to be held pursuant to C.R.S. sec. 24-6-402(4) (f) and (g) for the purpose of interviewing candidates, and reviewing and discussing applications and materials related to candidates for the position of City Attorney which are documents protected by the mandatory nondisclosure provision of the Colorado Open Records Act and interviewing candidates. A motion was made by Council Member Madera, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, to enter into an executive session addressing the City Attorney recruitment, to be held pursuant to C.R.S. sec. 24-6-402(4) (f) and (g) for the purpose of interviewing candidates, and reviewing and discussing applications and materials related to candidates for the position of City Attorney which are documents protected by the mandatory nondisclosure provision of the Colorado Open Records Act and interviewing candidates. A motion was made by Council Member Madera, seconded by Council Member Davis, to extend the appointment of the Interim City Manager to December 12, 2022. VOTE: 8 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Ford) A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, seconded by Council Member Hurst, to name Jason Rogers as a finalist for the City Manager position. VOTE: 8 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Ford) A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, seconded Council Member Hurst, to call a special meeting of the City Council to take place on December 12 immediately following the City Council study session to consider appointing Jason Rogers as City Manager and consider adopting a resolution to approve an employment agreement with Jason Rogers.
