Special Meeting
1. Call to Order/Roll Call
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order
by Mayor Huseman on April 24, 2023, at 5:34 PM.
A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas seconded by Council Member
Ford, to excuse those members not present. VOTE: 6 - Aye, 3 - Excused (Chacon,
Hurst, Madera)
Present: 8 - Mayor Benjamin Huseman, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Council
Member Renee Millard-Chacon, Council Member Susan Noble, Council
Member Craig Hurst, Council Member Craig Kim, Council Member Sean
Ford and Council Member Kristi Douglas
Excused: 1 - Council Member Oscar Madera
2. Executive Session
23-087 An executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(e) for the purpose
of determining position relative to a matter that may be subject to
negotiations concerning incentives for a potential economic development
project within the city.
Council Members Chacon and Hurst entered the meeting at 5:36 p.m.
A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, seconded by Council
Member Ford, to enter into an executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)
(e) for the purpose of determining position relative to a matter that may be
subject to negotiations concerning incentives for a potential economic
development project within the city. VOTE:
Aye: 6- Mayor Huseman, Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, Council Member Noble,
Council Member Kim, Council Member Ford and Council Member Douglas

23-088 An executive session of the City Council pursuant to C.R.S. sections
24-6-402(4)(a) and (4)(e)(I) for the purposes of discussing the acquisition
or lease of certain real property as a potential location for a Police
Substation and for determining positions subject to negotiations,
developing strategies for negotiations, and instructing negotiators with
regards to potential acquisition or lease for such property
A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Allen-Thomas, seconded by Council
Member Ford, to enter into an executive session of the City Council pursuant to
C.R.S. sections 24-6-402(4)(a) and (4)(e)(I) for the purposes of discussing the
acquisition or lease of certain real property as a potential location for a Police
Substation and for determining positions subject to negotiations, developing
strategies for negotiations, and instructing negotiators with regards to potential
acquisition or lease for such property. VOTE:
