Call to Order Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. Present 7 - Board Member Augusta Jonhart, Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Board Member Jennifer Martin, Board Member Kelly Reyos, Board Member Lupita Arce, Ronna Sanchez, and Board Member Kristi Douglas Absent 2 - Board Member Linda Barr, and Board Member Craig Hurst 2. Community Time Chair Martin led community time. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 23-141 Minutes of April 18, 2023 Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve the minutes of April 18, 2023. Council member Douglas seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 4. Grants and Finance Update Board member Sanchez provided a grants and finance update. 5. Monthly Public Art Update: Fire Hydrant Project Update Staff provided an update on the Fire Hydrant project in partnership with South Adams County Water and Sewer District. Council member Douglas made a motion to approve the Fire Hydrant Art Project and to allocate $3,000 to the project. Vice Chair Riggs-Gonzalez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Visual Arts Chair Martin provided an update on the photography show. C. Performance Arts Vice Chair Riggs-Gonzalez and Board member Sanchez provided an update on Music in the Park. Council member Douglas made a motion to allocate $200 to boost social media posts, allocate up to $15 per Cultural Council volunteer to buy dinner at each concert and allocate $200 total for raffles. Board member Sanchez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. D. Vision Council member Douglas provided an update. 7. New Business None. 8. Old Business: A. Memorial Day Supplies The Council discussed the Memorial Day parade. Board member Arce left the meeting. B. June Meeting The Council discussed the June meeting and confirmed it will take place in person. 9. Other Business None. 10.
