Call to Oder Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. Present 5 - Board Member Augusta Jonhart, Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Board Member Jennifer Martin, Board Member Kelly Reyos, and Ronna Sanchez Absent 4 - Board Member Linda Barr, Board Member Lupita Arce, Board Member Kristi Douglas, and Board Member Craig Hurst 2. Community Time The Cultural Council participated in community time. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 23-202 Minutes of June 20, 2023 Min 23-204 Minutes of May 16, 2023 Min 23-225 Minutes of August 22, 2023 Meeting Vice Chair Riggs-Gonzalez made a motion to approve the minutes of June 20, 2023, May 16, 2023 and August 22, 2023. Board member Sanchez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 4. Grants & Finance Update Board member Sanchez provide a finance and grants update. 5. Visual Arts Chair Martin provided an update on the Winter 2023 Art Exhibition. B. Performing Arts Board member Sanchez provided an update on Music in the Park. C. Visioning No updates. D. Governance No updates. 7. New Business Board member Sanchez led a discussion on the Cultural Council name and mission. The Board discussed. 8. Old Business: A. Hispanic Heritage Event Board member Sanchez made a motion to sponsor the Aztec Dance performance. Board member Shaw seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. B. Public Art Photos - Recreation Centers Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve up to $150 to print photos of the City's Public Art Inventory for the Recreation Centers. Vice Chair Riggs-Gonzalez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. C. Annual Retreat Logistics It was determined the October monthly meeting would be cancelled in lieu of the Annual Retreat on October 28, 2023. 9. Other Business None. 10.
