Call To Order/Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 4:10 PM. Present 6 - Regular Member Laura Martinez, Regular Member Trudy Smith, Regular Member Renata Trisilawati, Regular Member Ronna Sanchez, Alternate Commissioner David Williams, and Alternate Commissioner Kristi Douglas Absent 5 - Regular Member Aliyah Acevedo, Regular Member Rebecca Perez, Regular Member Lucy Molina, Regular Member Darci Martinez, and Regular Member Derick Singleton 2. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Ronna Sanchez, seconded by Trudy Smith, to approve the July meeting minutes. VOTE: All aye. 3. Proclamation's Discussion The committee discussed creating a climate emergency proclamation for a City Council meeting on September 16th, 2024, October 7, 2024, or on October 21, 2024. 4. Colorado Department of Transportation David Merenich, and Mandy Whorton with CDOT came to present the I-270 corridor project. 5. Conservation Colorado 6. Upcoming Events Discussion The Committee discussed the following events: • September 13 and 14, 8 AM -2 PM – Groundworks/C3 – Private Tree Planting $25 stipend available team leaders and 20 free trees (Aracely@GroundworkColorado.org) • September 7 9AM – 1PM – C3/Wildland Restoration Volunteers – Public Tree Planting (https://wlrv.volunteerhub.com/vv2/lp/denver) •October 2/TBD – CC/ND EJ Forum @ Eagle Pointe 6:00 – 7:30 Commerce City Page 1 Environmental Policy Advisory Meeting Minutes - Final August 22, 2024 Committee 7.
