Roll Call Present 3 - Regular Member Kathy Teter, Regular Member Daniel Alire, and Council Regular Rick A. Teter Absent 1 - Alternate Christine Loffredo 3. Approval of Minutes Min 12-015 Meeting minutes of April 4, 2012 The Liquor Authority skipped over the minutes and they will be added to a future agenda for approval. 5. Authority Business Pres 12-306 New 3.2% Application for 7-Eleven Store 35828H Vicechair Madson opened the public hearing. Kevin Coates, Attorney with Dill Dill Carr Stonbraker & Hutchings and Attorney on behalf of the applicant presented. Deputy Attorney Karen Stevens swore in the witnesses. Carol Johnson, representative with Esquire Petitioning, stated there was 95% of all those petitioned were in favor of the application for the 3.2% Off premises Beer Liquor License. Mr. Coates requested that the petitions were made a part of the record. Michael Browning, Field Consultant/District Manager with 7-Eleven, stated that the 7-Eleven Store is a corporate store but will become a franchise in the future. Training includes a program named Come of Age, which is a computer based training that covers State liquor laws, acceptable forms of identification, and how to identify intoxicated customers. Initially, each employee must pass the computer based training before cashiering and maintain the training annually. Shelving never is higher than four feet so that employees have full view of the liquor refrigerators. Authority member Alire inquired if 7-Eleven decided to franchise would they be held to the same training standards as before. Mr. Browning replied that they are held to the same training standards which are a part of their franchise agreement. Authority member Kathy Teter moved and Authority member Daniel Alire seconded to approve the 3.2% off-premises liquor license application for 7-Eleven, Inc. d/b/a7-Eleven Store 35828H located at 6966 Dahlia Street. ROLL CALL VOTE: 4 ayes A motion was made by Regular Member Teter, seconded by Regular Member Alire, that this Presentation be discussed and closedVOTE: Aye: 4- Regular Member Teter, Regular Member Alire, Madson and Council Regular Teter 6.
