Call To Order/Roll Call The Liquor Licensing Authority Meeting was called to order on October 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. 2. Approval of Minutes Min 17-51 Minutes of October 6, 2017 Hearing Officer Ablao reviewed and approved the meeting minutes of October 6, 2017. 3. Public Hearings Pres 17-543 Liquor Licensed Drug Store Application of Dillon Companies, Inc., dba King Soopers #114, 15051 E. 104th Ave., Commerce City, CO 80022 Hearing Office Ablao opened the public hearing continued from October 6, 2017. Appearing: Attorney Robert Dill, on behalf of the applicant Gregory Junk, on behalf of the applicant Lori Wareham, on behalf of the applicant Attorney Dill stated that Dillon Companies, Inc., doing business as King Soopers, have entered into contracts to purchase Liquors Plus and Garden Lane Liquors. The anticipated closing is within the next five to 10 days and at that time King Soopers will surrender their 3.2% Off Premise License. Max Scott, Oedipus, was sworn in and testified to the petition process and results. There was an overall approval of 90%. Gregory Junk was sworn and and testified to the company currently holding one other liquor-licensed drugstore license in Colorado. He provided details on how liquor sales would be controlled and the proposed security measures for controlling the alcohol. Public Input: Jean McEvoy, 10851 Truckee St., Commerce City There was no further public input and the public hearing was closed. Commerce City Page 1 Liquor License Authority Meeting Minutes - Final October 18, 2017 Hearing Officer Ablao made the following findings: Based on the evidence, the adult inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the issuance of the license and the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood for this type of license are not being met. The publication, as well as the affidavit of posting, gave the public notice of this hearing. The number, type and availability of liquor outlets located in, or near, the neighborhood do not preclude the issuance of this license. The applicant is qualified to conduct the type of business proposed and the statutory requirements have been met. The license is granted with the following conditions: Satisfactory inspection of the premises by the police department to ensure the diagram, submitted with the application, is accurate. Satisfactory results of background checks. Compliance with the liquor code, rules and regulations and any municipal ordinances. Filing with the city, the surrender of the 3.2% license when closing has occurred. Surrender of the retail liquor store licenses of the stores being purchased. 4.
