Roll Call For the record, Alternate Commissioner Harvest Thomas was present in the audience. Present 5 - Chair Jonathan Popiel, Vice Chair Andrew Amador, Commissioner Karen Anderson, Commissioner Dennis Cammack, and Commissioner L. Warren Jones Approval of Minutes: Min 18-69 June 5, 2018 Attachments: Minutes A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Cammack, that this Minutes be approvedVOTE: Aye: 5- Chair Popiel, Vice Chair Amador, Commissioner Anderson, Commissioner Cammack and Commissioner Jones Case(s): Pres 18-289 CU-118-18: WBC Engineering is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to reduce FAR from 0.15 to 0.06 in order to construct a new 27,600 sf building for the property located at the southeast corner of East 93rd Place and Yosemite Street (PIN 172121102011), zoned PUD. Attachments: Staff Report Vicinity Map Project Narrative PUD Permit Mr. Hader introduced the case and noted the file contained the relevant notification information. Ms. Long reviewed the staff report and presentation, including the DRT recommendation for approval. She explained that specific language in the Marty Farms PUD requires conditional use permit approval for any reduction below .10 FAR. The Commission asked about on-site fuel storage, circulation requirements, and total storage area. They also had questions regarding potential impacts to neighborhood traffic and compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration regulations. Willie Plessman, 500 East 62nd Avenue, Denver, addressed the commission on Commerce City Page 1 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes - Final August 7, 2018 behalf of the applicant. He stated Winslow Crane Services would relocate their operations to Commerce City from their current Englewood site. He explained that larger cranes are stored at other locations and would not be kept at the Commerce City site. The meeting was opened to the public. There being no further discussion on the request, a motion was requested. Commissioner Jones made the following motion "I move that the Planning Commission enter a finding that the requested Conditional Use Permit for the property located at 8780 East 93rd Place contained in case CU-118-18 meets the criteria of the Land Development Code and, based upon such finding, recommend that the City Council approve the Conditional Use Permit." The motion was seconded by Commissioner Anderson. VOTE: Aye: 5- Chair Popiel, Vice Chair Amador, Commissioner Anderson, Commissioner Cammack and Commissioner Jones Board Business: Staff Business: Planning Manager Timms introduced Planner Brayan Marin who was recently hired.
