Call To Order/Roll Call Present 5 - Staff Member Sheryl Carstens, Regular Member Billy Gurr, Regular Member James Kummerow, Regular Member Jennifer Prather, and Regular Member Preston Martinez Absent 3 - Chair Valerie Medina, Regular Member Teri Smith, and Regular Member Brendan Binns 2. Approval of Minutes This was approved 3. Review Scholarship Applications 21 eligible applications were received for review. The board has decided to fund 2 scholarships with the help from City of Commerce City that contributed for an additional scholarship. Motion has been moved by Jennifer Second motion by Billy Motion is unanimously approved For next year's scholarship cycle the board would like to review how scholarships are scored and the direction given to students. Motion to grant scholarships to Angel Salazar and Priscila Trevino by Billy Second motion by Jennifer Motion is unanimously approved 4. Other Business Sheryl shared a lawyer will be coming next month for the first 30 minutes of the meeting. Possible dates for the B&W tasting fundraiser Sept. 14th or 21st Oct. 12th or 19th Jennifer would like to table grant discussion for May. Possible board meeting day change to the 4th Tuesday of the Month, pending board approval. 5.
