Call To Order/Roll Call Present 7 - Regular Member Billy Gurr, Regular Member Catherine Brady, Regular Member Charles Dukes, Regular Member Ed Hanson, Regular Member Laurel Eller, Regular Member Sheryl Carstens, and Regular Member Tonia Lopez Excused 1 - Regular Member Jennifer Prather 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes 08/27/2019 Attachments: Minutes Line item 5 was edited to reflect that all proposed fundraising events were to be considered for a final decision in September. 3. Painting for a Purpose Update: No new progress on sponsorships and ticket sales. Silent auction items have been finalized. 4. Other New events Adult Field Day- would not require much effort. Organizations would have an opportunity to host and activity and talk about their mission. Lopez has talked to organizations to know whether there's a community interest, and has received positive feedback. Event could also include food trucks, beer garden. Monies fundraised would come through the team registrations. Potential challenge is location of event. Bar Crawl The event would require commitment out of restaurants and ticket selling. The event would be a heavier lift than what we can make money for. Fun Run See attached pdf. Dukes made a motion to create a telethon for as an annual fundraiser. Motion did not have a second. Motion did no pass. Annual Planning meeting draft agenda Commerce City Page 1 Quality Community Foundation Meeting Minutes September 24, 2019 Main focus will consist of grant applicatoin/report and workshop. Eller motioned to host planning meeting at Bison Ridge. Carstens seconded. Motion passed. 5. Announcements & Upcoming Dates Commerce City Cultural Council will be hosting an art reception event at Bison Ridge Recreation Center, October 18, 6-8:30 pm Women in Leadership course offered by the Adams 14 Foundation Board members wanted it to be on the record their gratitude for the free recreation pass, a perk for members serving on the city's board and commissions. 6.
