Call To Order/Roll Call Present: Ed Hanson, Billy Gurr, Jennifer Prather, Revisha Martinez, Laurel Eller, Charles Dukes, Sheryl Carstens, Catherine Brady, Tonia Lopez 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes 01/28/2020 Attachments: Minutes Dukes motioned to approve minutes. Brady seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 3. Grants Members Gurr and Brady presented their summary of the 2020 reports (organizations that were awarded in 2019). Four organizatons that stood out include organizations that either were not clear on their spending of the QCF grant funds or didn't spend full amount. Organizations also failed to meet criteria based on the signed grant agreement to "request for re-direction of any grants funds must be submitted to the Foundation in writing and approval is subject to the Foundation’s sole discretion." After discussing whether this would automatically disqualify them from 2020 funding, Lopez motioned to allow said organizations to apply for 2020 funding but with reduced funding. Dukes seconded the motion. "Yes" Votes: Sheryl Carstens, Laurel Eller, Charles Dukes, Revisha martinez, Catherine Brady, Ed Hanson, Tonia Lopez "No" Votes: Jennifer Prather, Billy Gurr Gurr motioned that further clarification be provided before decision making on 2020 grant awards for two of the four organizations discussed. Brady Seconded. Dukes abstained. "Yes" votes: Billy Gurr, Sheryl Carstens, Laurel Eller, Charles Dukes, Revisha martinez, Catherine Brady, Ed Hanson, Tonia Lopez "No" Votes: Jennifer Prather Next meeting, members will revise grant agreement. 4. Scholarships Reminder that the deadline for scholarship applications is April 3. 5. Other Commerce City Page 1 Quality Community Foundation Meeting Minutes February 25, 2020 Members Gurr and Prather gave a full proposal for the new fundraising event that will take place of the Golf Tournament. Eller motioned to move forward with the event idea pending some details to be worked out. Lopez seconded the motion. Motion was approved unanimously. Members Eller and Gurr provided a report back on their presentation to City Council on February 10. Bylaws will be edited to the reflect changes from previous conversations to remove Finance Director from the language. Gurr motioned to approve. Dukes seconded. Motion was approved unanimously. 6.
