Call to Order Chair Hellewell called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. Present 7 - Board Member Braden Hellewell, Board Member Heather Marr, Board Member Laurel Eller, Board Member Melinda Larson, President Laura Hellewell, Board Member Theresa Wilson, and Board Member Stephanie Levi Excused 1 - Board Member Kayla Burby Absent 1 - Board Member LaCrea Dixon 2. Approval of Minutes Min 23-094 Minutes of Feb. 28, 2023 Meeting Board member Eller made a motion to approve the minutes of the Feb. 28, 2023 meeting. Board member Wilson seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Board member Larson made a motion for Board members who did not review nor score the nonprofit grant applications ahead of the meeting to abstain from participating in the discussion and voting. Board member Wilson seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Chair Hellewell made a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss grant applications. Board member Marr seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Executive Session: Grant Selection The Board participated in the Executive Session. Approval of Grant Awards Board member Wilson made a motion to award $141,800 in grants to 30 local nonprofit organizations. Board member Eller seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. ii. Memorial Day Parade The Board discussed. Chair Hellewell made a motion to create a Memorial Day Parade subcommittee and allocate up to $350 for materials. Board member Eller seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 5. Other Business Chair Hellewell provide an update on the 80's Prom Fundraiser. Board member Larson left the meeting. Board member Eller provided an update on the Golf Tournament. Staff provided an update on the scholarship program. Chair Hellewell made a motion to include Police Advisory Committee member, Amanda Holland, in the review panel for the QCF Community Scholarships. Board member Eller seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 6. Adjourn Chair Hellewell adjourned the meeting at 8:49 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
