b. Fundraisers
i. Silent auction platform
32auctions seems to be the most cost effective option without losing features. The
max we would spend is $90 on the platform. We will include this in the golf tournament
budget to approve as a whole at the March meeting.
ii. Business card pricing
Sarai moved to purchase 1000 golf tournament business cards for $50. Val seconded
the motion, which was approved unanimously.
c. Recruitment & Partnerships
i. MiniCon & retractable banner budget
Material pass off for MiniCon will be 3/5 at 1:30pm (Rachel to pick up from Civic
Center). Group wants to look into having poster boards for the event.
Information on the retractable banner was shared, but is not to be pursued at this
time.
7. New Business
Senior Commission & QCF partnership opportunity. Also opportunities to partner with
the Active Adult Center or other boards and commissions. Group discussed attending
board and commission meetings to discuss partnership opportunities. Work on these
collaborative partnerships will continue in subcommittees (headed by Diane).
A retired PD officer was wondering if their dependent could apply for the Curt Holland
Golf Tournament. The group decided that because it says "current" employee that the
eligibility language would have to be honored this year. If language is changed for
future years, they would be welcome to apply.
Grant recipients expressed interest to staff about having an opportunity to network with
the other grant recipients for collaborative opportunities. The group determined they
didn't have resources to host an event, however the recipient information is shared on
the QCF website, and they are welcome to pursue connections through reaching out on
organization websites.
8. March Agenda Setting
a. Grant decisions
Also add golf tournament budget to March agenda
