Senior Commission Meeting Minutes - Final February 10, 2022
Request to have a senior commission specific email. I spoke with IT and we are able
to have a dedicated email, however, I will need to get a better understanding of how
you want to use it. If it is manned by a current city employee it would be relatively
easy.
CDBG and what are their needs. CDBG would like to better connect with older adults
to help with minor home improvements/repairs such as painting, furnace repairs,
window and door replacements, weatherization improvements, etc. On a side note-
Code Enforcement is working on the creation of a Snow Angels program that will assist
those who are physically unable to shovel after a snow fall. We hope that this will also
turn into a full year-round service that is funding through resident volunteers, CDBG, or
the Code Enforcement's abatement budget.
