Call To Order/Roll Call Chair Huseman called the Urban Renewal Authority meeting to order at 6:00 PM. A motion was made by Commissioner Hurst, seconded by Commissioner Allen-Thomas, to excuse members not present. VOTE: 13 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Fairfield) Present: 12 - Commissioner Benjamin Huseman, Vice Chair Nicole Frank, Oscar Madera, Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Susan Noble, Jose Guardiola, Craig Hurst, Meghan Grimes, Robyn Smith, Charles "Chaz" Tedesco, Ramona Lewis and Peter Buche Excused: 1 - Alex Fairfield 2. Approval of Minutes Min 21-140 Minutes of May 3, 2021 A motion was made by Commissioner Allen-Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Hurst, that the minutes be approved. Presentations Commerce City Page 1 Urban Renewal Authority Meeting Minutes - Final June 28, 2021 Pres 21-366 Establishment of a Potential Urban Renewal Area Located Generally at Ivy and 48th Avenue Jenna Lowery, management analysis, presented the potential formation of a new Urban Renewal Authority for the area generally around Ivy and 48th. A motion was made by Commissioner Hurst, seconded by Vice Chair Frank, to authorize the staff to create and distribute a request for proposals for a blight study for the consideration of the area generally described as Ivy and 48th Ave as a possible urban renewal area. VOTE: 12 - Aye, 1 - Excused (Fairfield) A motion was made by Commissioner Madera, seconded by Commissioner Hurst, to continue using Caitlin Quander as the URA legal council.
